Children start primary school at the beginning of the academic year in which they are 5. Transition to school starts early at Midhurst with stay and play sessions set up regularly throughout the year prior to a child starting. Visits to local nurseries by the Reception class teacher further supports the transition process and helps develop the partnership between child and school.
